Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take for my water cooler to be delivered?
U Drink provides fast, free delivery to all its customers and we will usually have your choice of water cooler with you within 24 hours of your order being placed. If this is not possible, we will be in contact to advise you of the alternative delivery time and the reason for this delay.
At Edgar's water, customers are our priority so we will do everything that we can to ensure we meet all your water cooler requirements. We aim to schedule both the water cooler installation and its delivery at a time that suits you. Typically, we deliver bottled water coolers within 48 hours and mains fed water coolers in 3-4 days.
How often will the bottled water for my water dispenser be delivered?
The bottled water we supply is usually delivered once a month, but this can be altered if required to suit your office or other workplace. For example, smaller offices may only need a bi-monthly delivery whereas larger offices may need fortnightly deliveries to keep well stocked.
After finalising your contract, Edgar's Water will schedule your first delivery of bottled water straight onto our fortnightly delivery schedule. The delivery will then take place on the same day of every second week. This way, it is easy to work out how much water is needed to keep your office or building hydrated and it allows for change if your requirements do. More frequent bottled water deliveries can be made if you are a large water user – please speak to one of our water cooler sales advisors.
What happens if we run out of water?
Don't panic! If you do happen to run out of water unexpectedly, we operate a next day delivery service to restock your workplace and ensure that you maintain an operational water cooler. Due to our excellent delivery service however, this is unlikely to happen.
Should you run out of bottled water or water boiler in cup hot beverages, Edgar's Water provide a free next working day emergency service to cater for your needs. However, we understand the importance of keeping your staff hydrated so through extensive planning and organisation, we do our best to help you avoid such situations.
Do I have to repeatedly order my bottled water?
Not at all. As long as you are happy with your delivery schedule and the amount of water being delivered, there is no need to repeatedly request orders from us. We will happily amend your delivery schedule if you are struggling with too much or too little water at the end of each month.
No, your bottled water will automatically be placed onto our fortnightly delivery schedule. The delivery will take place on the same day every second week, regardless of whether you require more water or not. If you don't require any more bottled water, it's no problem, we will save it until you do.
What is the minimum amount of water that our office needs to order?
This is difficult to say, as all workplaces vary across the country and throughout the year. Ideally, we will need to assess the size of your office and workforce to make a recommendation, but if you need further information, please contact us.
There isn't a minimum amount. Nevertheless, we'll do our utmost to ensure that your office has enough bottled water for your water cooler to last two weeks, keeping all staff hydrated and work productivity levels to a maximum.
Does my water cooler need to be serviced and if so, what should I do?
Yes, in order to maintain a constant flow of fresh and clean water, your cooler should be serviced at least once a month. To help with this, we offer a sanitation service with every water cooler package to ensure you are receiving the highest quality water from your cooler.
Yes, under health and safety regulations and the BWCA guidelines, all water coolers need to be serviced regularly. Bottle fed water coolers need to be serviced every 3 months, while mains fed water coolers must be serviced every 6 months and the filter changed. However, don't worry, you don't need to call or book a service. Our system will automatically inform us when it's time for your water cooler to be serviced. One of our Water Cooler engineers will then visit your office and service your water cooler. This should take no longer than 20 minutes of your time and will not cause any disruption to your office.
What should we do with our empty bottles?
U Drink delivery drivers will collect any empty bottles from you when we deliver new ones, so please just keep them safe and we will be happy to take them at the next delivery. The water bottles can often be cleaned, sterilised and used again in the future.
It's simple, all empty bottles are collected when we deliver your new bottled water. Saving you hassle, this system means that empty water bottles aren't left lying around the office. Moreover, being environmentally conscious, if bottles are rejected for re-use in our strict quality controlled cleaning process, they're broken down into tiny pieces and recycled. Edgar's Water is dedicated to providing a green, ethical and environmentally friendly water cooler and water boiler service.

Why should I choose a water cooler for my workplace?
There are numerous reasons why you should be drinking plenty of water every day. Water helps to maintain the balance of body fluids, control calorie intake, build muscle tone, give clearer skin and allows your kidneys to function. Most importantly in the workplace, it can improve your mood and productivity.
Having water available to staff throughout the day that not only tastes good but can be served chilled or at an ambient temperature encourages staff to keep hydrated. The benefits to staff who are adequately hydrated is well documented and new staff with a healthy lifestyle will be drawn to a workplace providing hydration.
What water cooler should I choose?
That is completely up to you! All our water coolers will have certain features and benefits, so we are confident that you can find something suitable within our product range. If you do need further assistence however, please contact us for an informal discussion around which water cooler is most suitable for your needs.
Plumbed-in or bottled, that is the question! Bottled is pure filtered water without chlorine, fluoride or anything else added. Plumbed-in is filtered mains water and after filtration and chilled the taste of the water is indistinguishable from bottled for most people. There is also a cooler that provides hot as well as chilled, either filtered or bottled. No space for a cooler? No problem. There is the undersink chiller. This does what it says on the box, it chills water under the sink and water is dispensed from a swan neck tap on the edge of the sink.
What are the differences between the products you offer?
Bottled water coolers require access to a plug socket but do not need to be plumbed in to a mains water supply, making them easy to install. Mains fed water coolers supply an unlimited amount of water, meaning no waiting around for bottles to be delivered and no need to store refill bottles. We would be delighted to supply you with either of these products.
Are water coolers difficult to install?
Not at all, our trained water installation experts can have a bottled water cooler up and running in minutes. A mains fed water cooler is slightly different as it has to be connected to a water main which does require some plumbing, but this shouldn't take long to complete.
